From Reactivity to Calm: A Journey Toward Feeling Steady and Rooted
After only a couple days, I found myself surprisingly noticing that I was calmer and more peaceful during situations where I have been reactive and touchy before. I was so pleasantly surprised at this, but I was hesitant to attribute it to the flower essences because I had just started taking them that same week. Were they already working? I decided to give it more time to see what else would happen.
A week or two later, I encountered a very challenging situation. I noticed I was able to stay clear minded and hold my boundaries when I have historically struggled with that. I wondered again if the flower essences were impacting me and providing natural support to my clarity, nervous system, and emotional processing. Could they actually be helping to change my internal processes in real time? I continued to take the flower essences and observe myself.
Several days later, I contacted a friend to help me process the challenging situation, and as I was talking it all out, I noticed that I was upset but not feeling defeated, sad but not feeling overwhelmed by it. I regrouped and felt my energy coming from a place that was deeper, more present, and less focused on outcomes. My friend and I both observed that this new shift feels more healthy and like it’s helping me operate from a place of groundedness, not reactivity.
At that point, I knew the flower essences were a part of this shift. I was in awe and full of gratitude for the medicine of flowers, the support they offer, and the way Kate thoughtfully created a blend that would be effective and unique for me.
After taking flower essences for a month, I feel that a shift has begun to happen inside of me at a deep level…not foundational, but almost that deep. I think flower essences have been helping stitch things together inside of me in a way that gives me a new outlook and energy. I feel more steady and stable. I find myself facing familiar challenges, but this time, my efforts seem to be coming from a place that is deeper, more present, and less chaotic. I feel more steady and more rooted.
I have been doing a lot of personal work to help myself be more present and grounded as well – beyond flower essences. However, I think the flower essences have had a meaningful impact on me all by themselves. It’s like they have helped to connect my previous efforts and gather my various parts into something that’s more whole within me. I can sense that growing wholeness, and as a result, I feel less scattered and more present. If I could sum up my experience with flower essences so far in one word, it would be “supportive”. And gosh, feeling supported is beautiful. Thank you, Kate, and thank you, flowers.
